If you haven't done so yet today, please look outside at all of God's beautiful artwork! I am such a lover of Fall with it's beautiful bright colors and the crisp cool air.........oh what a happy day it is :)

I want to tell you a bit about my new layout to the side....... I know it's a little hard to see so just imagine in your mind.... This is a layout that was inspired by a sketch on Life Preserver's Club. I decided to try a couple of new things.... Not only did I ink the flower with various Tim Holtz's distressed ink pads, I decided to try a rub on in the middle of the flower just to really make it POP! In all honesty, I've read about doing this before but this is the first that I've tried it and I LOVE the final result! I will be decorating my flowers in many ways with rubons for now on especially since rubons are among my list of addictions........ Also, the sad part about my stash is that I just don't have very much bling... A couple of months ago, I had picked up packs of gems in the jewelry/beading section of Michael's. I've used a few of these at times just to place on my pages but then I had an idea yesterday to see what they would look like if I put a small glue dot on the backside of a jewel and just placed it on top of a brad and it didn't look bad at all (in fact I ended up using 5 in my layout) so now I have an easy, cheap fix for bling!!!
